You have your choice of a 7" SHORT CHEEK or a 9" LONG CHEEK.
7" Cheek is a less aggressive version of the Lifter Bit.
It offers a nice option to aid the rider in aligning the horse's body and balancing the shoulder. It offers a firm yet unintimidating rate. The small gag and independent motion in the shanks makes this bit an excellent transition from the ring snaffle and a nice bit to ride in the pasture or trail.
The 9" lifter is designed primarily for horses that have a tendency to drop their shoulder in turns. The longer shank offers the rider leverage in helping to elevate the shoulder and maintain a balanced position in the horse's body. Because it's a correction bit, it should be used on a horse that is well into the shank bridle.
In both cases the mouthpiece should be adjusted where it meets the corners of the horse's mouth and creates a slight wrinkle. Two fingers should be between the chin and curb strap. "Lifetime Guarantee"
